S P E L L B R O O K   L O C K

Height: 5ft

Spellbrook Lock has a low brick road bridge at the top lock gates, mooring is to the East bank.  There is limited visitor mooring downstream.  The Three Horseshoes pub is a short walk to the West along the road and across a level crossing.

The Three Horseshoes Spellbrook Lane East, Bishop's Stortford. Tel: 01279 722849. A short walk westerly along the road from Spellbrook Lock where there are moorings below the bridge on the east bank.  An interesting timber framed building with log fires, thatched and dating from 1449. Real ales served and meals, especially fresh fish, food available all day every day.  A large garden, children welcome if eating.
